Abstract: The lecture is devoted to the history of Arabic mathematics in the Middle Ages. Based on the book "The History of Mathematics and Its Philosophical Development", published in 2024, in Arabic and soon to be published in Russian, the history of Arabic mathematics in the Middle Ages is considered. It tells about the inclusion of Arab and Muslim scientists in the development of medieval mathematics, such as Al-Khorizmi, Al-Karaji, Al-Sumawal, Al-Khayyam, At-Tusi, Ibn Al-Haytham, Ibn Al-Baghdadi, Thabit ibn Qurra, as well as from Morocco and Andalusia like Ibn Al-Yasimin, Ibn Al-Hassar, Ibn Al-Banna, Al-Kalasadi. A large campaign of translation from Arabic into Latin (through Andalusia – Sicily – Byzantium – Crusaders) and the creation of European universities based on the experience of Arabic universities are also considered. An example from astronomy is also given, showing the connection between Arabic and European medieval science and the transition of Arabic science to Europe.
